My Experience With Levonelle

As we have already told you yes, we are currently in Rotorua at the family Pearce.
To give you imagine what is going on here, I tell you is best in Who's here now lives all: Murray (father Pearce),

Robin (his wife), Candice (one of 2 daughters), Melinda (friend of Candice, an exchange student from germany in Murray's school) , Fabian and Basti (friends of Melissa, also an exchange student from germany, but on a different school), Chris (friend of Lena, from Sweden), Lea (former exchange student from Murray's school) Matti (former exchange student from Murray's school) plus parents and sister . Andre and me, we are then 14
:-) Here are a few pictures of the house:

The days here, unfortunately, all is over: long sleep, a bit of work, eat, talk, do something, or maybe just enjoy the sun. The companies maintain, however, rather limited. Were fishing one day,

even play PaintBall

and once "Zorb".

Dinner Dinner here is not special TEA. And if all goes well it will also be held at 6 clock. Andre and I were the beginning but very surprised that you are not here to dine together at the table but that is something everyone does and then somewhere in the living room / dining room / kitchen (two half-open spaces) distributed. Some people watch television, some on a couch and the rest at the table. And it will not wait until all are there, but everyone does as he likes. Although I love watching TV to eat, I find it a pity not really together . Eat Have
The first night we made a night hike through the "Valley of the firefly." In the country of Pearce, there is a dry river bed (5-6 feet deep) which is full of bright blue glow worms is. If one is right in the middle it looks almost like this as if you were completely surrounded by stars. Unbelievable. And it's not just a few but thousands. At least as exciting as the glow worms also the way was back. Have the right that is not found. If then (handicapped 60 and through fluid retention in the leg) with native Pearce climbed up the valley just about anywhere. By the slope and all the undergrowth that was really not a picnic. Another
notable event was the sheep shearing. There were three tasks: get the sheep out of the barn, the sheep-shearing, and sort the wool.

Andre and I have specialized in to drag the sheep in the barn to overwhelm and on your buttocks to the shearing champion.

Although I have made myself as a quality manager of different wool qualities very well :-)

Here in Rotorua and it mad a lot of hot spring environment. A tip, which fortunately is not yet completely is overrun by tourists, called "Hot and Cold". It coordinates a hot spring and a cold river in a large basin. The option to change between hot, warm and cold as to be able to make it a popular star and the sky over a really a great spot to end your busy days to ;-).
do in the next few days we even finish the porch and our beloved Stephen to remove (a loss of oil).

Then we want to continue working towards Napier and 1-2 weeks to replenish the budget. But until then we will get back safely again.
loving salute lateral

Can I Donate Blood For Money In Florida?

Mtwapa December 2009

started in September, the new school for the last trimester of this school year with four classes in the newly built premises. By early December began the big holidays - Christmas is about the hottest time of the year and during the holidays are traditionally the families visited in the home villages.
The first class (with teacher Dorothy) visited 34 children, the second (with teacher Benta) 35
In class 3 (led by Director Kennedy) were 18 students in Class 4 (with teacher Denis) 26
2 cooks and a night watchman complete the team. Nancy was appointed head teacher and done the way for us or her work as a social worker.
With the help of some parents at the school built a cooking hut, the children receive two meals a day (breakfast and a late lunch), the healthy, balanced and plentiful for many children the only meal of the day.
on Saturdays also cooked for the needy and offered day care.
end October it was very unusual to heavy rains and storms, roads became raging rivers and open spaces to lakes. Unfortunately, our school has been affected. A tree fell onto the roof and foundations were partially washed out. The worst damage was immediately corrected, some concrete work but are still on (the road from the property line that connects directly to the classrooms, has become a deep river bed) and still have before the start of the rainy season in late March will be carried out.
The school day was celebrated with a big party, top of the class were given gifts and all the children candy. John was in November, three weeks on site and could celebrate.
The state examinations to the end of lessons, which are the same for all of Kenya, brought outstanding results. Our school is one of the best in the entire district and can compete with the expensive private schools. We hope that the few parents who can afford school fees, is the incentive to send their children into our school so we help the poor children better and pay teachers a fair salary. Even though they pay relatively well (70 € per month), it extends from the front but not to cover. Half of their earnings is mostly spent on rent, a kilo of flour or sugar costs about 1 €, 250 ml of milk 45 cents, 1 kg of beans or lentils 80 cents, meat is not affordable ... It's amazing how these people survive, pay school fees for their own children and, as our teachers, appear full of dignity and neatly dressed, cheerful after a long walk to work.
Our teachers are highly motivated, may their work and take care of loving the children. Are you happy to have such a good and secure job. The whole atmosphere at the school is relaxed and cheerful. All are feeling well.
Some Muslim children attend classes, they receive Islamic religious instruction, but take part in the Christian activities. It is an unusual sight to see Muslim girl with a head covering the world's conventional Christian children's songs such as "God's love is so wonderful," or "Who is the king of the jungle ... JESUS sing.
We are very grateful for the testimony that the children are closer in this way and trust that the seed sown today will one day bring fruit. From 7
January begins the new school year and it is a 5th Class type. The classroom yes it was built in August, in the meantime it was used as an office. The numbers on the registration for the new first class are very high and we hope to accommodate all children. A new teacher, named Faith, was also found already and has received a good education for elementary school teacher. Together with the teacher Denis will be teaching the fourth and 5 Class divide. According to Kenyan curriculum, it must be from the 4th Class give a rotation of teachers who specialize in certain subjects and therefore offer a more qualified teaching. Meanwhile, we see
from further construction and wait what the next few months. All of Mombasa is being measured and the local politicians are planning a redesign. Land borders are drawn in part new and there are many rumors on land sales. If our rental property from one of these measures be affected, so the premises are located easily with the help of parents to a new location. A big wish is of course the acquisition of a separate plot, but unfortunately this is not cheap in Kenya. Also an area without much opportunity to play, comes to about 25 000 euros.
Unfortunately there from kindergarten, who was supported by a group from Germany, no good news.
George, a brother of the late pastor, has now declared this as his heir and takes him as a new "business". Thus, the sponsors from Germany are of course not agree, and they are not willing to bear the costs continue while he puts the hard-called-up fees in his own pocket. Meanwhile, we pay for the few children who will visit the kindergarten, the fees, but there are considerations, not whether a new children's garden could be started. Of course, the question of financing for both construction and rental cost is in addition to the monthly operating costs lots of money.

active after almost 2 years working in Kenya, we learn slowly, everything is a bit like the locals to see, sometimes you wait for the morning, because then in Africa have solved many problems by itself. Often this is not easy, because we Europeans have done our annual plans at the beginning of the year, but Africa is different. We try to acquaint all of our employees, we have to work as responsible stewards and take us but on the other hand, the example of their faith in God and their knowledge that "will ensure that another day for his own" (Matt. 6:34)

So we go in the new year with confidence in our work in Kenya and trust in the promise: "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and it will be added to you" to all our sponsors

and supporters, we like to take this way to thank and wish you God's blessings in 2010!

Godfather Report Fall 09

Dear sponsors and friends of Helping Hands!

Jesus in Luke 4:18. "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor, he sent me to preach to the prisoners that they should be free and the blind to see that they are the oppressed, that they should be free and single, to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord. "

The poor are happy, the prisoners were set free from sin and all kinds of addictions, the blind faith are living in unbelief, superstition and legalism, the downtrodden are raised, the humiliated, abused and beaten.
Jesus is not just for the forgiveness our sins on the cross come and gone, but the gospel is the good news of healing and restoration of our life, mind, soul and body.
The Jewish and Christian view of man is holistic and affects all our lives, our minds, our emotions and our bodies.
This passage is a summary of the Good News of Jesus and his message comes first.
Jesus' priority is that we are completely healed. He loves people and wants them to be fully human.
He compares how the Psalmist man with a tree. Only a healthy tree can bear good fruit. The bruised plant, he does not break, but heals and it is based, is to humus or compost, and wait patiently for the good fruit.
He also takes on the image of the Good Shepherd of Psalm 23, which brings the lost sheep from the thorns, it combines comfort and gives him fresh water and good grazing, leads it by their name and caresses and bring into the fold.
The Gospel does not begin with the sacrifice, not martyrdom, not with fasting and abstinence, not with the law, but with grace, with the acceptance and healing.
The lamb is sacrificed not the same, no, it must live a happy abundant life.

This wholesome life, may the orphans of Elbasan in the home of hope the poor in Albania, which are fed by the "bread of life" and find the abandoned children of Mombasa in Kenya.
We can do despite the economic crisis, that the friends, members and sponsors of Helping Hands give plenty of support and work in the kingdom of God appreciating financially and spiritually. We would like to gratefully acknowledge that 100% of your gifts benefit the children's benefit. We "Helping Hands" volunteers not only work, but cover travel costs, postage, office expenses and bank charges themselves and with the help of donations for organizational information.
An innovative sponsorship for the new school in Mombasa provided John Wood Horse: He worked in the renovation of our house about 4000 €!

thank you for your thoughtfulness and wish you a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
