Godfather Report Fall 08
Dear sponsors and friends of Helping Hands!
... and the gates of hell shall not prevail against the church. Matthew 16:18
a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. Mt 19.23
Okoth Pastor Dickson of the Christian community in Mtwape, Kenya wrote a poignant letter about poverty, epidemics and social and health emergency in Kenya. He thanked us that we pay for Beatrice as a sponsored child for 20 € / month. His family of this beautiful and intelligent girl now already 12 years in his family and taken refuge. He thanked us for our love, helpfulness and experience.
The shame us because we give a little bit of our abundance and are considered gracious patron, he cared but day and night a great community with a school and soup kitchen and a large family with foster children in a shabby dirty hut for "God's reward." We rightly criticize Western Christians
global imperial policy in favor of the West, but forget to help our brothers and sisters in need sufficient. By what right we enjoy luxurious churches and office buildings, villas, thick Cars and shares when fellow, - and sisters dying of hunger and child-infections?
They are meant to be, we give rather than mammon, use the money and our time with wisdom and generosity to the poor, not to like the rich young man stumble.
God's blessing and happiness is but the humble and poor, for they are rich in faith, in charity, in patience and character.
God respects and protects the persecuted and exploited community like a pearl that grows in the midst of dirt and darkness into beauty and splendor.

The end of September came the Heffers to Traunkirchen to visit and leave and we had a meeting with sponsors and helping hands. The committed couple introduced us to the blessed work the soup kitchen of the Albanians before. They put special to my heart, that they have a social worker for the day-care center would need in the afternoon, which would ensure the good and meaningful work for the Big and Small, after lunch.
For the soup kitchen, we have gained already 10 sponsors. The project is home of the hope which we have formed an association and HH supervised 16 years, goes for us to slowly close. The English partner CRY has assumed the responsibility and support all together. Bernd Friedmann but offers to existing patents, two years to care for their sponsorships. However, the reports are sent to children in English-sorry J-proof your English! In Germany, Gernot Grams
