The Association Helping Hands with an annual budget of about EUR 25,000 has been able to carry only a quarter of the considerable increase in expenditure on the children's home and the day-care center. In February 2008, Helping Hands has decided to back down its senior staff in the Albanian club house of hope and to transfer all responsibility to his English partner CRY, which an international and provides financially strong Christian social work. In Albania, the children's home system is increasingly being replaced by adoption, care and day homes. Therefore, there is hope in the home less and less permanent home for children.
But we want to continue to help where help is most needed.
So we will continue to support the soup kitchen in Elbasan / Albania and enables a new project, the orphans in Kenya a loving home and education. Hundreds of children waiting for a sponsor and an amount of 20 € per month gives these children food and hope. A child is in each case only supported by a mentor. Home of Hope / Elbasan
As we have reported in the last newsletter have left five girls the home. Ava and Aba Tufa could take home to their father. They were supported with beds and other necessities from the HoH. Ava finished high school and now attends a high school for sewing. Aba is still at school in Elbasan.
Miranda, Silvana Anxhela and is doing very well in her new boarding school, where they attend courses for computers, cooking and sewing. Anxhella is the High School German for the younger ones go away and still in high school. Klodian Cani (6 years) was raised by his mother in early January to take home. You live in a rented apartment in Cerrik, a small village
near Elbasan. His mother had to drag the map to the south, but they still remain. Genti Kovaci is now 15 years old and attends the 4th Class middle school. He lives near Elba Sans with his older brother and often visited the children's home. He is very healthy and continues to play passionate football.

also come daily to learn up to 25 small children from the Roma community in the morning in the Day Care to the main house to basal social skills and school preparation. The children eat together with the children home for lunch at the home of hope and enjoy as their only hot meal.
this time Christmas was very special because many of these young Roma children with the help of the children in a Weihnnachtsspiel in their own languages to the delight of her parents performed. The children are home accompanied in the afternoon with their homework from a teacher and social worker have good contact with the school. The services were generally improved.
The children in care are in good health and feel well in the HoH.
